Uploading files to the website

It's actually possible to attach files to anything on the website (event, forum topic, etc.). To use that feature, all you need to make sure is that you've registered and that you're logged in.

To upload a file just select "create content" and the type of content you wish to create. On the editing page there's a section named "File attachements", open that, browse to the file you wish to upload and select "Attach". You may attach more than one file to every content type.

but if i want to add lecture notes to the new group? what do i do? they would not really be events ...

I get a pop-up saying I cannot upload "zipped" files. Why not?..
