NCKU university health services for students

(1) Outpatient Services: A school doctor will be present every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon at 2:30~4:30 to provide outpatient clinical services.
(2) Health Consultations: Two nurses will be present to provide telephone and face-to-face consultation services.
(3) Student Health Examinations: To complete work on computer files and statistics on physical examinations of all new students, moreover students with abnormal physical examination results will be referred to the university hospital for follow-up examinations.
(4)Emergency Medical Assistance (Paramedic Assistance): Regarding on campus medical emergency needs, this divisions' paramedical personnel along with the schools' military education colleagues officer will proceed to give assistance, investigate injuries and do preliminary managments, as well as deliver the injured to receive medical treatment.
(5) General Medical Assistance: Post nursing and doctoral staff to assist with on campus and off campus large scale activities, such as holiday athletic meets, campus track and field activities, as well as various kinds of testing activities including the college entrance aptitude examination, graduate school enrollment examinations, transfer student examinations and extended education enrollment examinations etc., for medical assistance work.
(6) Hepatitis B Inoculations: To provide free inoculations to Hepatitis B negative freshmen students.
(7) Providing "Simple Medical Kits": For all school dormitories there will be placed one "simple mediccal kit" provision including regularly scheduled supplements for the use of all dormitory students. For each academic department and student club activities there will also "simple mediccal kits" provided for lending.
(8) "First Aid Annie Lending": For meeting the needs of each academic department and student clubs' first aid training, we assist teaching these classes and also provide lending of "First Aid Annie" in order to raise the first aid proficiency of our staff, faculty and students.
(9) Setting Up "Automatic Blood Pressure Gauges": One automatic blood pressure gauge will be placed in the Health Center office and one will be placed in front of the Gift Shop on the first floor of the Yun Ping building in order to provide a resource of self-examination for persons who have high blood pressure.
(10) Referrals and follow-up at"The University Hospital": Assisting faculty, staff, and students in transferring medical examinations to the university hospital, with the expectation of receiving good and prompt medical treatment. In addition to this, for students who have been released from hospital care, we will proceed in following these cases in order to provide continuous care and also to keep records for future reference.
