Dear friends,

Long time no see!    This is Rachel, the facilitator of this week's

After a short break, we are going to restart our issue discussion this
Friday night.

I took the job as a facilitator for Bougi, good luck for everyone 's
preparing work for midterm.

It's tough but we' ll go over it !!

The topic we' re going to talk about is " What's In a Name? Fatter Profits"

Join us and discuss this together.

Please download the atached file. Read it before the discussion group
and don't forget to print it out .

See you on 11/16 :)

The following is the procedure of the Friday Group:

Warm up

Invite new faces to introduce themselves.

Share jokes or the good things happened to you with us.

Issue discussion

1.  Look at the title, think about it. What's in a "name"? Only
"Fatter Profits"?
(First, think of yourself, like"What does your name stand for?"
"What would you do if you don't have a name?" Then apply it to a company)

2.  Why do those tech giants in Taiwan reposition themselves as
consumer brands?
Is it a dream goal of a company or simply a driven sense of market pressure?

3.  From the article, what kind of moves did those companies make to
promote their brands?
Do you appreciate that? Is that helpful?

4.  Do you think Taiwan tech companies really need to build their own
brands to represent
   their products? Why?

5.  Think about some creative ideas to consolidate Taiwanese brands
