Tickets
are now on sale for the Summer Social. The purpose of this event is to
create an extra-curricular event that allows you to meet your fellow students,
both juniors and seniors.
The
reason this event is being offered is because we didn't have this opportunity
last year to get to know our fellow students until the welcome party, which is
usually held in late September. This was unfortunate but we don't want this to
happen again. The event this week will give you an opportunity to socialize
with juniors and seniors in a relaxing atmosphere. This is an advantage not
only in making friends and networking, but you can also find out more about the
program in which you will be immersed in for the next few years.
This
event is open to everyone, not only students in the IIMBA program. Feel free to
invite your significant other(s) or friends.

8, 2008 starting at 8:00 p.m. (this Friday).
There
is a limit of 80 seats because
because we have rented out the top floor floor of the restaurant.
Tickets
are NT$300
The
event will take place at BOSA Egyptian Restaurant (http://www.bosa.com.tw).
This is one of Tainan's most famous restaurants and has received a lot of
attention in the Taiwanese media. The chef and owner, Khaled, is from Egypt
(therefore, authentic food!) and he has been kind enough to offer his services
to us. This restaurant is absolutely amazing. Dinner prices are usually over
NT$500.
Dinner
starts at 9:00.
Khaled has designed a custom buffet for us and has given us a very good deal.
The menu is attached and looks fantastic. Items on the restaurant's menu will
also be available to purchase separately. For those of you interested in having
some drinks, alcoholic drinks, including beer and coolers, will be sold at the
event (prices range from NT$50-100). Cocktails and other drinks are also
available from the restaurant.
As
mentioned, the event starts at 8:00, dinner starts at 9:00 and we will leave
the restaurant around 11:00. The hour before dinner is to allow for
socializing.
There
is limited seating at 80 people, so tickets must be purchased in advance.
Tickets will be sold at break and after Economics and Statistics classes this
week.
