Overseas & Compatriot Student Health Insurance
Submitted by fiLi on Sat, 01/12/2008 - 12:12.Hi,
It's really too bad that so many of the new students coming this year are studying here without any health insurance due the impossible Taiwanese government policy regarding 4 months ARC before joining National Health Insurance. What's even worse is that those students don't know that NCKU actually offers a private alternative health insurance plan for them during that time.
I've joined this program, and although I find it extremely annoying that I need to visit the ISAD office every time prior to visiting the only places I can go to - the NCKU and Tainan hospitals - it still helps a little. It covers up to 1000NT$ per treatment (covered all for me two times, and half the third time), and a more general accident insurance up to 1000000NT$, I think. Verify this. It costs 2000NT$ for those 4 months.
Either way, for the students coming in during next semester/year, attached is the Chinese agreement followed by some of the English notes I was able to make of them. It'd be nice if one of the Taiwanese visiting here (or better - the ISAD office) could help us fully translate this.
