Purpose of points

Yep, everything a user does to contribute to the community website will give that user site-points. Adding content, sharing information, writing comments, adding events or classifieds.

It allows me and the other website users to see who the most active users are and who are continuously contributing to the site. Furthermore, when a user shows devotion to the community, I can give that user additional privileges and permissions for things around the website in trying to make this community work.
